The 12 hour infusion of chemo went well. I woke
up Friday morning at 3:45 to stop the machine and
clean my IV, no problem. I then went to the
Doctors at 9 to turn in the machine and have my
IV removed. I've had my arms poked about 14
times this week already, with little success (and
lots of bruises), so I thought maybe I could keep
the IV for my blood draw today. While the nurse
was looking into the possibility of this, she
hooked me up to the drip to keep me hydrated.
She soon returned and said that I could keep my
IV until today, but that they also wanted to keep
me there to do another D&C (this is the surgery
that cleaned out the abnormal tissue). So, I had
another long day at the hospital, but I'm feeling
pretty well, and hopefully this will all go away
sooner. Besides the slew of minor medications, I
don't have anything exciting going on for another
couple of weeks. I go back on the 5th to check
in with the oncologist and the ob/gyn doctor that
did my surgery.
